Chelsea Reher

Photographer + Visual Artist

Chelsea Reher is a photographer, visual artist, and educator based in Lancaster, Ohio. Her work spans photography, videography, bookmaking, alternative photographic processes, and mixed media art. Rooted in her faith in Jesus Christ, her creative practice is shaped by the belief that beauty, creativity, and wonder reflect God's presence in the world. Inspired by nature, nostalgia, and the quiet moments of everyday life. She creates work that invites viewers to slow down, reflect, and engage more deeply with the world around them.

Chelsea graduated Summa Cum Laude from Columbus State Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Digital Photography. She later earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Columbus College of Art & Design, also graduating Summa Cum Laude. Her professional experience spans a range of photographic work, from commercial projects and weddings to portraiture and retouching. She currently works as a photography and videography teacher at Fairfield Christian Academy, where she has the privilege of mentoring young artists as they develop their technical skills, creative confidence, and unique visual voices.

At the heart of Chelsea's practice is a love for craftsmanship and storytelling. Through handmade books, alternative photographic processes, and thoughtfully crafted imagery, she explores themes of creation, memory, place, and faith. Her work is guided by a desire to honor the Creator by paying attention to the beauty woven throughout His creation. Rather than simply documenting a subject, she seeks to create meaningful and lasting works that evoke wonder, remembrance, and connection, encouraging viewers to linger with each piece and discover something new with every encounter.
